Dobby: 5-month-old male yellow Lab mix ~45 pounds not yet neutered

Background: A fabulous orphan dog lost in the world. Did his prior owners dump him? Did they lose him and just not go looking for him? Did he escape from his captors with the vision of finding a new awesome forever home? Well, he is now a Lab Rescue dog and, by golly, we will find him that awesome forever home.

What Dobby’s Foster says: Dobby is a sweet, gentle and loving puppy! He is great with other dogs and loves to play with the tennis ball. Dobby can be shy at first to strangers but warms up quickly and just wants to be friends. He is very much a “people dog” and loves to be cuddled. He has a sense of adventure and is inquisitive but doesn’t go too far from your side! Dobby’s a quick learner and will be a great addition to any loving household!

What Dobby’s Rescue Rep says: A darling pup. Probably not a pure Lab; not sure what he might be mixed with… a shepherd? a black-mouthed cur? He has a delightful, playful personality that will fill any home with joy. Very deserving of a puppy obedience class. Not sure how big he will get. Fine with other dogs. Has not yet been exposed to cats – but I suspect he will want to play with them.

Medical Information: Dobby has had one round of vaccinations and is microchipped. Heartworm test and another round of vaccinations will be completed in the near future. Neutering will happen down the road.

Dobby is located in: Napa.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
