GRACE: (recently turned) 9 year old AKC registered spayed female purebred English/American Yellow Lab 76 lbs

Background: Lab Rescue was called by Grace’s owners as they have been working from home and now need to go back to work in the office. The commute is long and they recently downsized so Whiskey and Grace will now be alone for 10-12 hours a day. It was a difficult decision for them to make to rehome them. Selflessly, they knew it was the right decision for the dog.

From Grace’s Fosters: Grace is totally sweet and lovable. She loves receiving attention and will gladly accept pets and belly rubs. Between Whiskey and Grace she is the one who likes to be in charge and Whiskey doesn’t mind at all. They are both easy dogs to have around.

From Grace's Rescue Rep: Grace is very sweet and affectionate. Her previous owners purchased her from a breeder as a puppy. She is adorable when she nudges you with her nose when she wants a pet. Grace is treat motivated and knows basic commands. At times she may bark if a stranger approaches or when she sees a dog but then she warms right up to them as she is friendly and playful with other dogs. Between the two dogs she wants to be the center of attention. She has gone to doggie day care and done fine. Grace sleeps on her dog bed through the night. She is housebroken and rides well in the car. She loves to swim. Grace was raised with kids 10 and up. No toddlers please. No cats please. Grace has been going on one walk a day and would enjoy a second one.

Medical: Grace just had a Vet check and she is a healthy dog. She is spayed, up to date on vaccs, Heartworm negative and microchipped.

The previous owner said that Grace and Whiskey are bonded and they would like them to be adopted together. Lab Rescue will do our best to do this but we cannot guarantee. Pending the right adopters are found to meet each dog’s needs, Lab Rescue will consider adopting the dogs individually.

Grace is located in Walnut Creek.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
