Lola: 9-year-old female yellow Lab 55 lbs Not yet spayed

Background: Surrendered to a local shelter after his owner died, Lola (formerly named “Shilo”) had been relegated to a backyard for much of her entire life.

What Lola’s Rescue Rep says: We are thrilled with the opportunity to find this delightful lady a new forever home. Friendly, affectionate, engaging. Walks very nicely on leash. Reportedly house-trained. Took a while, but she has started chasing/fetching balls. Trots around in the backyard at a pretty good clip for a 9-year-old dog. Rides great in the car. Not so interested in other dogs. No idea how she is with cats; might be just fine. Would be great for a family with children.

Medical: In pretty darn good health. Current on distemper vax and microchipped. She will soon visit our vet for a full check-up and spaying.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
