Mojo: 6-year-old male chocolate Lab 65 pounds neutered

Background: Have microchip; will travel. This guy was picked up as a stray out and about in Stanislaus County. Turns out he was (and is) microchipped, but the chip was not registered to anyone. Doah! And no one came looking for this handsome boy. Double-Doah! He was full of spirit at the shelter and wanted out of there pronto. We were delighted to bust him out of there.

What Mojo's foster says: One sweet love bug. Loves to walk and ride in car. Delights at playing with a ball or toy especially the squeaky ones. No accidents inside so for; but I also take him out several times right now since he drinks a lot of water. Loves his crate; goes in and out of the crate even when crate door is open. Only tried to jump on the couch or bed a couple times - I think he is used to being on the floor and/or crate. Will jump up on you with his big paws; also like surfing the countertop. He is a bit of a drooler. Mojo needs some help walking on leash as he is a bit of a puller; he will try to go out first when the door or car door is open. Lots of energy when a ball, toy or food is around -- then settles down when those are put away. He is such a great boy! Mojo looks wonderful after I brushed him and gave him a bath and he is sooooo lovable. Mojo should have someone that can maybe go running with him or wrestle around - he's an active dog. He is doing fine in my apartment; he's not much of a barker.

What Mojo's Rescue Rep says: mo-jo, noun, a magic charm, talisman, or spell. Magic power. Yup! This guy will hypnotize you with his gregarious personality. He will be the life of the party. Mojo will need some serious exercise outlets and obedience training. Too rowdy for a home with small children; too rowdy for anyone unstable on their feet; just rowdy enough for a fitness junky who wants a dog to run with them. Fine with other dogs. No idea how he is with cats.

Medical Information: Mojo is in fine health. Microchipped and current on vaccinations. Heartworm negative.

Mojo is located in: Sausalito.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
