O’Malley: ~2-year-old male black Lab 53 pounds neutered

Background: The Luck of the Irish brought O’Malley to Lab Rescue via a local shelter. He’d been found wandering the bogs of Solano County searching for a pot of dog food gold and a pint of Guinness.

What O’Malley’s Foster says: O’Malley! Oh, my! He is a very good dog. O’Malley loves getting scratches, cuddles and attention. Loves to get brushed and furminated. He really enjoys going for walks, but he will get excited when he sees ducks, joggers, cyclists, squirrels, etc. He is a playful dog, and romps with our own young female yellow Lab Miley. O’Malley doesn’t like the crate but if you ask him to sleep on his dog bed he will sleep there through the night. Whoever adopts him will be the luckiest person. He will brighten you day with his infectious smile and joy.

What O’Malley’s Rescue Rep says: Is O’Malley the four-legged furry leprechaun for you? We think he would rather River Swim than River Dance. We believe O’Malley might be a manifestation of the Tuath Dé Danann, a supernatural tribe of gods from the Otherworld who ruled as Ireland’s deities – they are mischievous cobblers who possess great wealth and reward three wishes to any mortals who can capture [or adopt] them. We think O’Malley could be much younger than two. Probably not so good with cats as he will want to chase them, O’Malley would be great in an active family – with kids.

Medical Information: O’Malley is in fine health… current on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.

O’Malley is located in: Richmond.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
