Paisley: 4 Year Old Black Lab Mix Spayed 74 pounds

Background: Paisley was found dumped in the Ukiah area. The shelter reach out to GGLRR and asked us if we could take her. She walks well on leash and is an easy going girl. She is shocked she is looking for a new home in the New Year.

From the foster mom: Paisley is a delightful and darling dog. Paisley longs to please and loves to be loved and receive belly rubs. It took just one “no” command to keep her off the couch all night. She gets very excited at the prospect of a walk and although she pulls a little, she responds at once to gentle correction. She does not alert bark, counter surf, or beg. She knows the commands come, sit, and shake, however she needs to practice “sit.” Although she’s four years old, she is calm in the house, but I think in her heart of hearts she’s looking forward to years filled with adventures. The Northern California shelter she came from tested her for cats and she didn’t not seem to care about them. Any family would be lucky to have this sweet girl. She is housetrained and takes treats very gently.

What Paisley’s Rescue Rep says: We want a home for Paisley that knows what it takes for an active dog. A home that will continue with her training.

Medical information: Paisley is spayed, up to date on his shots and chipped; awaiting results of heartworm test. She is a healthy girl.

Paisley is located in: Santa Rosa.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
