PARKER 1.5 year old purebred AKC male chocolate Lab 83 lbs neutered

PLUTO 1.5 year old purebred AKC male chocolate Lab 89 lbs neutered

Background: Pluto and his sibling Parker were purchased from a breeder at 8 weeks old. For personal family reasons they have decided to rehome their dogs. Pluto’s is described as very active, loves to retrieve. Parker’s is described as very loving, loves to hang around with the family.

From Pluto and Parker’s Foster: Both of these dogs are the easiest dogs to foster. Pluto is easy to have around, will play fetch and politely leave you the ball every time. When you take a break from playing ball Pluto likes belly rubs. Parker is pure affection wrapped in fur. He’s easy to have around, loves his people and is always up for a belly rub. Both dogs love to hike. They are super chill at home.

From Pluto and Parker’s Rescue Rep: Pluto and Parker are handsome boys that greet everyone with wags and gentle kisses. If you start petting Parker he won’t leave your side which will often lead to a belly rub, though Pluto loves his belly rubs too! They are both treat motivated and have a soft mouth. They grew up with two children in the house, seven and thirteen. They are housebroken, crate trained and non-destructive in the home. They love their walks and are good on leash except when they see a squirrel and want to chase. They sleep through the night in their crates. Both dogs have had basic obedience training and know several commands. They do well with other dogs as their previous owner took them to doggie day care. They ride well in the car. Swimming is a favorite. A pool would be a big plus. When seeing other dogs, they may get excited but only because they want to play with the other dogs. When excited they may jump so any kids in the house should be 7 and up. They have some prey drive and will chase, especially squirrels, so no cats in the home please.

Parker and Pluto are quite bonded so we are only adopting them together. Although there are two of them, they are easy dogs to have around. They have had a great foundation from their previous owners, yet they are young and will need to continue with any needed training to go on to be good canine good citizens. Because the boys are so bonded no other dogs in the house place.

Medical: Pluto and Parker are healthy, neutered, current on vax, Heartworm negative and chipped.

Parker and Pluto are currently located in: San Jose and will be returning to Walnut Creek soon.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
