Video: Pluto and Parker

PLUTO 1.5 year old purebred AKC male chocolate Lab 88 lbs, neutered

Background: Pluto and his sibling brother Parker were purchased from a breeder at 8 weeks old. For personal family reasons they have decided to rehome their dogs. Pluto’s owner describes him as very active, strong and loves to retrieve.

From Pluto’s Rescue Rep: Pluto is a gorgeous boy that greeted me with wags. He is treat motivated and has a soft mouth. He has lived with his sibling brother Parker. Of the two dogs, Pluto is the alpha. There are two children in the house that are seven and thirteen. Pluto is housebroken, crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. He’s had basic obedience training and knows several commands. Pluto does well with other dogs and goes to doggie day care. Swimming is a favorite and he does well riding in the car. When strangers approach Pluto may bark though he is not aggressive. When excited he may jump on kids and adults so any kids in the house must be 7 and up. Daily walks are included in his routine and Pluto gets excited when he sees other dogs. He can be leash reactive at times but only wants to play with the other dogs. Pluto has prey drive and will chase, especially squirrels, so no cats in the home please.

Pluto is still a puppy who needs some training so we would like someone who has had experience raising young Labs.

Medical: Pluto is healthy, neutered, current on vax, Heartworm negative and chipped.

Pluto is currently located in: Danville.

Our volunteers donate their personal time & phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
