Alicia - 4-year old female Yellow Lab, 52 lbs, Not Spayed
Background: Alecia has been through a lot. Her original owner was hospitalized and subsequently passed away. During that time she was placed in a shelter for a few months until her owner's friend pulled her out. Given his situation he eventually had to leave Alecia in a warehouse at his work overnight as he couldn't bring her home. A very good samaritan saw her situation and brought her home and subsequently asked us to help find her a forever home. She's now living with another dog who she gets along with very well and getting a lot of love and attention, but her temporary foster is unable to keep her given work demands.
What temporary foster says: Alecia is a 4 year old female Yellow/ Dudley Labrador Retriever. She's very intelligent knowing many commands including fetching her bowl for meals and opening doors. She is very gentle and wants nothing more than to be cuddled and be pet. She loves any warm spot to sleep as long as it's as close to you as possible. She adores other dogs and loves to play. Her gentle demeanor followed by her mellow nature makes her a great dog for any family. I think she'd really thrive in a household with another dog as she has really enjoyed becoming good friends with my black lab. Whomever ends up with this sweet girl will end up with a lovely companion that's full of love and who isn't afraid to get right up in your face and show it.
What Rescue Rep Says Alecia is a super sweet, beautiful creamy white lab. She's about 52 lbs and needs to gain a few more pounds. She's a bit shy when first meeting people which is not surprising given the past few months, but she quickly warms up and accepts pets and handling with no problem. Alecia would do well in a home with another dog (not sure about cats) and where someone is home most of the day. She is still young and has a lot of energy so will need regular exercise and some help with her leash walking. She is house trained and has been good around children over 6 years old.
Medical: Alecia is healthy and up to date on vaccines. She's not yet spayed but that will be covered by Lab Rescue in the future.
