BELLA 2 year old female black Lab ~ 75 lbs (overweight ~ 5-7 lbs) not spayed (Lab Rescue will coordinate spay)

Background:Due to a family situation and through no fault of her own, Bella needs to be rehomed.

What Our Evaluator Says:Bella is a sweet affectionate dog. She loves attention and to get belly rubs. She’s treat motivated and cuddly. She let me do anything to her like touch her tail, squeeze her paws, put my hand in her food bowl and there was no reaction. She is housebroken but not crate trained. She currently sleeps in a shed in the yard with the other dog, a chihuahua. She spends most of the day outside. Bella will take the ball from you, sometimes bringing it back and sometimes dropping it. She is currently not getting a lot of walks and needs leash manners. When she saw dogs she just walked by them.

She is bouncy and jumpy but not mouthy. When she kisses sometimes there are little nibbles with it so any kids in the home should be 10 and up.

Medical: Bella is up to date on vaccs, Heartworm negative and chipped. Lab Rescue will coordinate her spay.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
