BRIXTON: 10 month old male Red Fox Lab 65 lbs, Not neutered (Lab Rescue will coordinate)

Background: Brixton was purchased at 8 weeks and has been with his family ever since. Mom and Dad are now working away from the home full time and the kids are very involved in many sports. He is currently being crated 8+ hours a day when no one is home.

What Brixton's Rescue Rep Says: Brixton is a gorgeous Red Fox Lab housebroken and crate trained. He has been raised with kids who are 9 and 11. He sleeps in the kid’s bedrooms on his dog bed. He has had a little training and the owner says he knows a few commands. Brixton has not been getting walks so he needs exercise and leash manners. He loves playing with other dogs though sometimes he can be intense trying to get the other dog to play. When the other dog says enough Brixton backs off. He has not chewed inappropriate items in the home though he will try and counter surf. He can be puppy mouthy but has no history of any aggression or resource guarding. He’s just being a puppy who hasn’t been taught that it’s not okay to use his mouth to play. Loves to swim and not much of a barker. No cats in the home please

Medical: Brixton is healthy, up to date on vaccs and on Heartworm meds. He will getting a microchip shortly and Lab Rescue will coordinate his being neutered.

Located in: El Cerrito.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
