CHLOE : 9 year old black spayed female Lab 73lbs, needs to lose 5lbs

Background: Chloe is a wonderful girl who was adopted from GGLRR in 2021. Her owners just moved out of the country and are very sad about rehoming her but felt it would be easier on her than spending hours in the belly of a plane. Her owners describe Chloe as affectionate, loves people, wants to please, loves her walks and running off leash.

What Chloe's Trainer Says: Chloe is currently in a board and train where she has been affectionate with people and quite dog neutral. Her greetings with other dogs that don’t jump on her have been calm and friendly. She is interested in toys and loves playing ball. She would be great for someone wanting a calm, sweet companion to hang around the house with and go on walks.

What Chloe's Rescue Rep Says: If you are looking for sweetness, you’ve found it! Chloe loves life and loves to bond with her humans. She is a happy go lucky girl and wants to meet as many humans as she can. She loves them and they love her. It’s easy to fall in love with Chloe. Her favorite things are to to be on off leash trails or off leash at the dog beach. She will run with the dogs but not participate in play. She is not a dog park dog as she is more interested in her humans and fetching the ball. Chloe has good leash manners when using a harness. She has great recall, loves to be in open space and especially at the beach, but she does not show interest in swimming.

Chloe has a funny habit of stealing socks and shoes but only to hide them! She is housebroken, rides well in the car, is not a jumper, rarely barks, loves her belly rubs, knows basic commands and has no history of aggression. Chloe sleeps on her bed at night. Her owner has never used a crate.

Lab Rescue is looking for a home that will continue to give her the exercise she needs. Once she has her daily exercise she’s content to laze around at home. Chloe has prey drive for squirrels and birds so no cats in the home please. Chloe bonds with her humans so would be best as an only dog to get all of the attention from her peeps.

Chloe is great at the dog beach and loves outdoor adventures! This girl has lots of life left and would love to fetch on the beach, hike and go camping!

Medical: Chloe has seen a Vet and is healthy, updated on vaccs, Heartworm negative and microchipped. She had right TPLO surgery in 6/21 and has not had any subsequent issues.

Located In: Watsonville. Please note our service area: GGLRR adopts to the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
