DAISY: 2 year old female black lab mix 64 lbs Not spayed (Lab rescue will coordinate her spay)

Background: Daisy was picked up by the side of the road in the central valley. She was taken to the Merced shelter and no one came to look for her! She passed all the evaluations at the shelter, passed the evaluations from the GGLRR Rep and just seems to always to have a smile on her face. The GGLRR rep knows someone who works at the shelter and reached out to see if we can take her into our program. We found a foster home and now would love to get her into her forever home!

What Daisy's Foster Says:She is a lab mix but has the labby look and personality. She has a wonderful temperament. She is a sweet, gentle loving dog that is well behaved, potty trained, zig zags a little on walks but basically does well on a leash, fine with crates, doesn’t mind having baths… Basically as easy going as a dog can be. Gets along with well with other dogs. She will make a wonderful addition to a family. She has so much love to give and is ready to bond with her new family!

What Daisy's Rescue Rep Says: Lab Rescue is looking for a home for Daisy that has the time for an active dog. Even though she is young she is a very easy going girl and seems to always have a smile on her face. Daisy is not motivated by food but definitely wants to please. She is housebroken and crate trained. She loves to be with people and other dogs, loves to go for walks, needs a little bit of help getting in the car but does fine once she’s in there. She is healthy but needs to be spayed and GGLRR will coordinate with the adopter on the spay. She is living with two older retrievers and does fine with them. Since Daisy sometimes will jump but is a relatively calm dog, kids over 5 who know to be respectful of dogs would be best. She is one sweet girl! Another well-trained similar in age and weight Lab in the home who likes to play would be good.

Medical: Daisy is updated on her vaccs, needs to be spayed and is microchipped.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
