FIONA: 5 month old female silver Lab 30 lbs, spayed

Background: Fiona was purchased from a family who bred their two Labs. Although she had daily walks, her owner said that she also needs room to run around and play fetch in a yard, which she does not have.

What Fiona's Foster Says:Fiona is high energy and loves to play. She is very focused, loves to retrieve and will bring the ball back.

She does well playing with dog toys. Inside the house she will bark when she wants you to throw a toy. She walks well on a leash most of the time and gets along and greets other dogs well.

Fiona has a very healthy appetite and is very food and treat motivated.

She knows some basic commands.

As a young puppy she needs continuous supervision at this age since she will try to jump up on the counter and steal things. Very smart, happy, well-adjusted and does not show any aggression. Needs an active family that will spend time with her.

What Fiona's Rescue Rep Says: Fiona is a very cute puppy and full of beans. Active and energetic are words to describe her. She is not for the faint of heart. Pretty much always on the go wanting to do something unless she’s in her crate where she sometimes naps if she’s had enough activity and will sleep through the night. She is not quite housebroken. Lab Rescue wants an adopter that has the time, energy and experience, raising an active Lab puppy. Until she is trained and this resolves, due to nipping and jumping, any kids in the home should be 8 and up. No cats in the home please.

Medical: Fiona is spayed, up to date on vaccs and chipped.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
