KC: 4 year old female spayed Chocolate Lab 90 lbs
Background: KC is a beautiful chocolate Lab that was purchased from a breeder with her brother as a puppy. The family decided that two dogs was a lot and that they need to be a one dog family. As KC’s owner works a lot, she has been boarded at a doggy daycare facility every other week. Other work days she is home alone 6-8 hours a day.
What KC's Rescue Rep Says: When I first met KC, I was very impressed as to how calm she is for being a young lab. She is a large Lab who could lose ~5 lbs but she will always be a big girl. She is all sweetness and loves to watch the world go by. We met in a park with a playground with young kids running around and it didn’t phase her. We then moved to the area of the park with the small dog park and we sat outside on a bench where many dogs went by. KC patiently watched them with her tail wagging. She then met a five month old Lab and was fine with the puppy but was more excited about the treats that she was getting from the puppy’s owner! She rides well in the car and loves to swim. She will fetch the ball but is not obsessed with. She does not chew inappropriate items in the home. KC has a soft mouth and is very treat motivated. She knows sit and down. Not much if a barker. The kids in the home are currently 13,16 and 18 so she has not lived with or been around young kids. Because of her size, no toddlers or kids under 5 in the home as she could inadvertently knock them over. KC will chase cats and squirrels so no cats in the home please. Her family feels she would be better as an only dog in the home.
Medical: KC is healthy, updated on vaccs, on Heartworm preventatives, and chipped.
