Millie's Puppies 6 Weeks Old, 6 Males and 1 Female

Background: Lab Mix Puppies and Mama Millie (listed separately) available for adoption or foster. They will be 8 weeks on 8/25/2024 and need to be adopted or placed in foster care by the end of August. There are 6 males and 1 female. We don't know what they're mixed with, possibly cattle dog; there is one with tan coloring that could be due to a recessive gene that each parent contributed. When both parents have the gene, the pup has lighter tan colored fur above the eyes, around the muzzle, on the chest and legs. Regardless, they are 100% adorable!

What Foster Says: These are really good little ones, already very good at using the pee pads! I'm sure they won't be difficult to housetrain with a crate and a good schedule... They're mostly sweet, quiet guys - occasionally typical puppies, untying shoes, chewing pants legs, etc, but sweet!

What Puppies' Rescue Rep Says: They will be receiving their first round of puppy shots on August 23. Lab Rescue will coordinate vaccine boosters and future neuters and spay when they are fully grown at approximately 18-24 months of age.

Taking care of a puppy is a big commitment! Here are some key requirements and considerations:

  1. Time and Attention: Puppies need a lot of socialization, training, and playtime. They rely on you to help them learn proper behavior and develop into well-adjusted adult dogs.
  2. Training,Socialization, and Exercise: Consistent training and exercise are essential for a well-behaved puppy. Socialization with other dogs, people, and different environments is crucial to help them become confident and well-adjusted. (after they're fully vaccinated)
  3. Love and Patience: Puppies are adorable but can also be challenging. They’ll make mistakes, and patience and positive reinforcement will help them learn.

Medical: Puppies are in good health. Will be neutered and spayed once they are older.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
