Raven 1-year-old female black Lab 65-lbs Not yet spayed

Background: Dumped in the front yard of a ranch in Dixon, this youngster and her two siblings were immediately brought under the care of the rancher family. Reported to the local animal services as "found dogs", no one came looking for them. The good Samaritan rancher named her Raven (and named her siblings Bodie and Shiloh).

What Raven’s foster says: Raven is an adorable, petite-sized, jet black lab who gets the cutest expressions on her face. She is curious, loves her toys and rough-housing with my coonhound. She has gotten along incredibly well with my two dogs from day one. Raven, like her sister, is very easy going – no puppy energy here, just a kind, quiet dog who LOVES to play but can settle down as soon as you do so you can rub her ears and tell her how awesome she is. She hasn’t barked much at all unless she is playing so she won’t be a barking nuisance. The thing I love about her most is her curious, playful attitude and her face – if she could talk I just know she would ask the most interesting questions! If you are looking for a playful, easy-going best friend who is up for anything.

What Raven's Rescue Rep Says: What a delightful and affectionate young dog. Needs an active home with people around a lot.

Medical: Raven is in fine health. Current on distemper vax, but needs a Rabies vax and heartworm test. Not yet spayed or microchipped.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
