Fosters needed for 18-month-old chocolate Labs "Sasha" and "Biggie"

Background: Four purebred Labs in Drytown (south of Plymouth, Amador County) need to find new homes. Owner (and his wife) are unable to properly care for the dogs. 6-year-old silver female Bronzie is the mother of 18-month-old siblings: chocolate female Sasha, chocolate male Biggie, and black female Princess. Bronzie and Princess have found foster homes.

What Their Rescue Rep Says: My dog Diesel and I met the four purebred Labs in Drytown this past Saturday. They are all outside dogs. Only the older Bronzie is house-trained. Dogs seem starved for human attention. All of them were quite jumpy in excitement to see me and get my attention. All of the dogs appeared healthy and very active. Coats were in great shape. Each dog is a bit overweight -- especially Bronzie. No food guarding issues. The three young ones have nice soft mouths; but watch your fingers, though, when you are giving Bronzie a treat. I was able to poke, prod and squeeze them all without issue. All got along just fine with Diesel. None of the dogs had even been walked on leash before. Will need fosters who can handle their lack of manners and training. All of these dogs are highly adoptable.

Medical: None of the dogs have been spayed or neutered. None of them have ever seen a vet. I plan to get them all to a vet for exam, vaccines, HWT, chipping... before they go to foster homes. Spaying and neutering to follow soon thereafter.

If you can foster any of these dogs, please contact Rescue Rep Dave at david.c.ely@sbcglobal.net

Please note our service area: GGLRR adopts to the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
