Eve: 7-8 Year Old Black Female Lab, 60 Pounds, Spayed

Background: Eve has been with her owner her entire life and her owner had a job that he could take her with him. He got her from a breeder in Washington. Eve’s owner had a boating accident and unfortunately he passed away. A friend thought she would be able to keep Eve but Eve is still an active Lab and his work schedule is not fair to Eve at this time.

What Eve's Durrent Owner Says: Eve is a great dog. She loves everyone and all other dogs. Her owner would take her everywhere with him and she has been exposed to the world. I have had her now for 3 months and I realize that it is not fair to Eve as I am away for 8 plus hours a day and she would love to be around people and get out more. (I would take my 14 year old dog with me to work but I can’t take both dogs and now the two dogs are left at home.) Eve gets along with all dogs and cats! She is great with kids; my grandkids come over to visit. She is very playful and friendly with other dogs and is more submissive. She is housetrained and can be left along with no issues. She sleeps on a dog bed in my room. I play ball with her every day and if you have a ball she will stay by your side. She is fine riding in the car and loves to go for swims! Eve does have a fear of gunshots and fireworks.

What Eve's Rescue Rep Says: We want Eve to go to a home that has time for her. She is a great dog and has lots of life in her. She is in great shape for her age and will make a good companion for her new adopter. She can go for walks, hikes and she can be in a home with other dogs, cats, and kids.

Medical: Eve has no health issues and is spayed, up to date on her shots, on flea and tick and heartguard. Eve does need to be microchipped. (We will hand off a microchip to the adopter.)

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
