LEO

Leo: 7-year old male Gold Lab ~92 pounds Neutered

Background: Leo has been surrendered because his family's work schedules have changed to where Leo is left home alone for several hours of the day. They want the best for Leo and know that he deserves a home where he will receive more care and attention.

What Leo's Rescue Rep Says: Leo is a friendly, easy going adult dog that does great with people and is reportedly fine with other dogs; I was unable to observe him around other dogs as there were none in the neighborhood at the time of my visit. It is clearly evident that Leo has been well cared for and his family only wants the best for him. When meeting Leo, the entire family (parents and two sons middle and high school aged) was present and couldn't say enough good things about him. He knows "sit, stay, down, come, wait, and drop."

We would like Leo to be with a family where he won't be left alone for long stretches of the day and where he will receive walks and playtime. Leo should be included in almost everything his family does. Leo is housetrained, loves to play fetch, likes to swim, and enjoys car rides.

Medical: Leo is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He will be heartworm tested and microchipped.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
