SADIE

Heidi (Formerly Sadie) -- 4-month-old female Yellow Lab 35 pounds Spayed

Background: Sadie was surrendered to a shelter by a young couple who had never had a puppy before and they did not realize that puppies have sharp nails and teeth.

What Sadie's Rescue Rep Says: I evaluated Sadle and found her to be a sweet rambunctious cute lab. Nothing out of the ordinary at this age. She loves people and she’s exuberant. She showed no resource guarding when I put food down and she started eating and I removed it promptly. Sadie loved the attention from the staff at the shelter, as well as the two of us from lab rescue. She knows the word sit and is motivated by treats, although she needs to learn to have a soft mouth.

She is very jumpy, not unusual for labs this age. With the right adopter, she will become a great dog for someone. No kids under 7 in the home, due to her jumping and sharp nails and teeth. No cats in the home.

Medical: Sadie is spayed, parvo tested and microchipped. She is up todate on her rabies and distemper.

Located In: San Rafael.

Please note our service area: GGLRR adopts to the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
