Video: Bianca introduced to a ball

Bianca, 8 month old Yellow/Brown Lab Mix, Spayed Female ~50 lbs

Background: Bianca and her sister Milli were surrendered to a shelter in Contra Costa County. The shelter reached out to GGLRR as both girls were tagged "rescue only" due to their fearful/skittish behavior towards staff. They were at risk due to their limited sociability and the shelter's lack of space. GGLRR was fortunate enough to have three volunteers go out and meet/evaluate these girls. All agreed both are really nice dogs. With patience and guidance, they have the potential to be wonderful family pets.

What Lab Rescue Says: Bianca just made her way into a foster home on June 12 so we are still learning about her. She slept through the night in a crate from day one and appears to be housetrained. She is skittish and sweet. Another mature, tolerant dog in the household could serve as a good role model. Children 10 years and up should work well, as long they listen to their parents about respecting puppies.

Medical: Bianca appears to be a healthy pup. She is spayed and microchipped, up to date on Rabies, DHLPP, and heartworm tested.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
