Clover 4 months old, Female mix ~30 lbs Not yet spayed
Background: Found as a stray on the streets of San Francisco... at less than 2-months-old. You gotta be kidding me. San Francisco Animal Care and Control contacted us immediately and we were delighted to promptly get her into a foster home where she is now thriving.
What Clover's Foster Says: Four-month-old Clover is a bright, funny little pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She’s a fast learner who already knows sit, down, stay, and leave it — and she’s an absolute fetch master. When she’s not chasing her ball or rolling in the grass, she’s happiest cuddled up close, soaking up all the love she can get. Clover adores the company of older dogs and takes gentle cues from them. She can be a bit shy with young children or new people at first, but her curiosity and silly, gentle nature always shine through with a little encouragement. Every day, she’s growing braver and more confident in the big, exciting world around her. Affectionate, playful, and endlessly endearing, Clover is the perfect mix of sweetness and spirit — a lucky little leaf who’s sure to bring joy and laughter wherever she lands.
From Gracie, the Resident Big Sister. Well, Clover has joined me as my new intern, and I have to say…she’s pretty cute. She’s learning fast, especially when it comes to the game of tug, and I’ve even been showing her the fine art of keep-away with the toys. She keeps me on my toes, but I don’t mind. I think she’s going to make a great little family member.
What Clover's Rescue Rep Says: Clover will melt your heart. She recently graduated from puppy socializtion training class. Needs an adopter that is around a lot. Her current foster wants to offer puppy-sitting services (in Novato) should the adopter need them from time to time -- what a deal! Clover would do great in a home with an existing dog.
Medical: Clover is current on her vaccinations. Microchipped. Following the initial report of a "heart murmur" by the shelter vet, we had Clover seen by a doggie cardiologist in San Rafael who determined she has a mild case of pulmonary stenosis (narrowing of pulmonary valve). This congenital disease is not a huge risk for Clover, but the cardiologist recommends that she be seen by a cardiologist annually to ensure her heart is doing okay. We will work with the adopter to have Clover spayed in a few months.
