Background: Juno went to a family when she was a puppy but the family decided that they did not have time for a young, active dog so they gave her back to her current family. Juno is being rehomed as they realize they do not have time for a young dog and they want her to thrive in a home that has the time to dedicate to a young lab. Juno is a wonderful dog and she will make a Great addition. She just needs more exercise, leash skills, and time.

She comes from AKC registered parents: a Red Fox American Labrador sire from the well-regarded Marble Kennels in Northern California, and a Black English Labrador dam from a reputable breeder out of Iowa. At over three years old, Juno is potty trained and has never had an accident in her kennel — a testament to her good nature and the consistency she's thrived in. She's comfortable in both a garage kennel setup and an indoor kennel in the evenings, and spends her days happily roaming a spacious backyard alongside other dogs.
She knows her manners, too. Juno responds to Sit, Down, Come, Shake, Stay, and Leave It — she's been worked with and it shows. That said, she is still very much a teenager at heart — if something smells good on the counter, she will absolutely investigate. A little redirection and consistency goes a long way with this girl. Yes, she will greet you like you've been gone for years — jumping, wiggling, tail going a mile a minute. But once the excitement settles? She is the most devoted cuddle companion you'll find. Fetch is her love language, and she will play until you give up first. Juno is well socialized with large dogs and does beautifully with a proper meet and greet. She eats well on adult kibble and has been part of a home that fosters and boards dogs regularly — so she knows how to share her space.
Juno needs a home with:
- An active, energetic owner who can match her enthusiasm
- Patient hands that understand Labs take time to settle
- Someone who can redirect that counter-surfing habit with consistency and a sense of humor
- Room to run, play, and be a dog
Why is Juno being rehomed? We love Juno deeply, and this decision was not easy. Our family is going through a season of big changes — a new baby on the way, teenagers with fuller schedules, and the realities of navigating life after a divorce. We simply want to be honest: we have more dogs than our current capacity can fairly support, and Juno deserves a home where she is someone's whole focus — not just one of many.
She is not being rehomed because of any behavioral problem. She is being rehomed because we love her enough to want better for her.
What the Rescue Rep Says: Juno would do best in a home with:
- Older children
- No sure about cats; but she may be fine
- Home with another dog would be fine as long as the other dog does not mind an active dog
- An active family committed to daily exercise
- Someone willing to continue her training and help build her confidence on leash
