Video: Doggie Pool Party - Milli is pup with the longer tail next to black Lab in the pool

Milli, 8 month old Yellow Lab Mix, Spayed Female ~50 lbs

Background: Milli and her sister, Bianca, were surrendered to a shelter in Contra Costa County. The shelter reached out to GGLRR as both girls were tagged "rescue only" due to their fearful/skittish behavior towards staff. They were at risk due to their limited sociability and lack of space. GGLRR was fortunate enough to have three volunteers go out and meet/evaluate these girls. All agreed that we should bring them into our program.

What Lab Rescue Says: Milli just made her way into a foster home on June 12 so we are still learning about her. Day 2 with her foster: Milli is very curious. Day 1 she was fearful and shy, but today that's pretty much gone. She is very attached to humans and gives hugs. She likes to chew on things, jump on my dogs and furniture. She is not aggressive, at all. She is skittish and sweet. Another mature, tolerant dog in the household could serve as a good role model. Children 10 years and up should work well, as Milli may jump on them.

Medical: Milli appears to be a healthy pup. She is spayed and microchipped. She is up to date on Rabies and will be getting her DHLPP booster and heartworm test.

Our volunteers donate their personal time phones so please only call during reasonable hours (8am - 8pm). The Rescue Rep identified in the dog posting is the only person with information about the dog - please only contact the designated volunteer. We do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week; we do not have a facility where the dogs are housed, they are in foster homes throughout the Bay Area.
