Background: Rubble is a sweet, spirited 1.5-year-old male black Lab mix weighing approximately 50 lbs. This lovable pup was rescued as a shivering puppy outside a car wash—wearing a sweater and seeking warmth. A kind family took him in, and their young daughter named him “Rubble” after the PAW Patrol character.

He’s crate trained, house trained, and learning polite behaviors like waiting at doorways, sitting before meals, coming reliably when called, and responding to “Leave It.” He’s also picking up leash manners and thrives on structure and guidance.
This playful guy enjoys squeaky toys for solo entertainment and gently initiates playing with his foster family, especially soft toss in the living room. He’s affectionate and eager to please, often checking in with his human for cues.
Rubble was very eager to play when he met our 9-year-old female Yellow Lab. He quickly picked up on her rules and boundaries. A calm, well-socialized canine companion could make an excellent role model for him.

Rubble can get a bit jumpy when he's excited, so he’s best suited for a home that appreciates his enthusiasm. He is good with kids, but given his size we recommend a home with older children, not toddlers. A yard and a family who won’t leave him alone for long stretches would be ideal—Rubble thrives with structure, attention, and activity.
